Tears of gratitude

Flow in waves through your cliffs,

Just like your fresh torrent streams.

From afar, your songs come to me

In codes and radio waves.

I observe and allow

And let go of this grief.

Homesick for Lothian,

I accept the present situation,

Not the form of it, constructed by rationale,

But the essence

Through which, everything mortal

Appears to take place.

Wherever God

Leads this vehicle-body,

And its software-mind,

Nothing is ever really lost.

For I identify with the awareness that lies behind,

For as long as I can.

This you taught me,

Scotland.
